Tracey Banivanua Mar Scholarship Endowment
August 19th 2018 marked the one year anniversary of the passing of Associate Professor Tracey Banivanua Mar, a pioneering and profoundly influential historian. One year on, we remember Tracey’s passion for research into Pacific and Indigenous histories and politics, as well as her dedication to human rights and social justice.
In consultation with Tracey’s husband Nick and her close friends and family, La Trobe University has established theTracey Banivanua Mar Scholarship Endowement in her honour.
This scholarship aims to extend Tracey’s transformative research and teaching by assisting gifted Pacific Islander and Indigenous students in their university endeavours.
I invite you all to support students who embody the qualities that Tracey demonstrated by giving to the Tracey Banivanua Mar Scholarship Endowerment.
