Call for submissions for 2019 AAPS Newsletter

Dear AAPS community,

We’re in the process of putting together another AAPS newsletter, in time for the Annual Epeli Hau’ofa lecture and the AGM in March. The newsletter is one of the key avenues we have for communicating with one another, and with others interested in Pacific Studies. So please send us your news!

Items that can be submitted to the newsletter include, but don’t need to be limited to:

  • Publication details: Details of journal articles, book chapters, blog pieces, media commentary etc. published since last April. If you’ve had a book or an edited collection come out that you’d like to spruik, send through a blurb and an image of the cover.
  • Images: Photos from fieldwork or events, artworks, etc., and a description (a brief caption or a longer description/narrative, up to 300 words).
  • Completed PhD and Masters theses (title, an abstract or description (100-300 words), institution and supervisor details, and a photo so we can sing your praises!
  • In-progress research: tell us about research /creative projects you’re doing, or about to start, including (but not limited to) postgraduate projects (100-500 words).
  • Events: details of upcoming events (conferences, workshops, exhibitions etc.), or reports on events that have happened since last April.
  • Longer pieces: news items, commentary or opinion (up to 700 words).
  • Anything else that would be of interest to the Pacific Studies community!

Please send items for inclusion in the newsletter to otoolemichelle@outlook.com by 21 February.

Ngā mihi,

Michelle
